Glide chair
Tacchini
Year Completed: 2006
Design: Monica Förster Design Studio
The basic inspiration for Glide is observation of nature, the fluid and constant change from one shape to another, from one state to another, like the snow in spring. A concept that has produced a large, soft and slim chair in polyurethane foam with differentiated density, supported by an airy metal frame, which holds the body in a light and spontaneous embrace. As the aim was to create a chair with a seamless surface, to achieve this the leather was vacuum shaped directly on the structure.
