Hinode, which translates to "sunrise" in Japanese encapsulates the minimalistic and poetic essence shared by Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics.
The Hinode Dressing Table is the first design created by Monica Förster Design Studio for Ariake. It was exhibited at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen as part of Ariake's Nagare collection.

The black color has been painted with "Sumi" which is Japanese ink made from candle soot and the blue details have been painted using Japanese indigo called aizome.

The round mirror emerges from the surface of the table, reminiscent of the sun rising from the sea. Its proportions delicately balance structural strength with visual lightness, evoking the fluidity of calligraphy in its silhouette.
